We celebrate in 2005 the 200th anniversary of

Hans Christian Andersen
(birthdate: 2nd April 1805 . birthplace: Odense, Denmark)
- the renown and fascinating storyteller who gave the world those magical, timeless and enthralling tales that live till today to thrill countless children throughout the world and haven't lost any of their wonder and appeal in our adult memories too ! Who has ne'er felt fever in our heads and warmth in our hearts whilst reading or listening to the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen may I ask ? I'm immediately reminded of a number of my personal childhood favourites :
