Wordknights
is a network of people who love writing, storytelling and have fun
with words, fun with puns and the whole works ! Who love language,
love words and most of all the Word, the Giver of Life from whom
we believe all creative energy derives. The Word is liberating and
inspires in us both Wisdom and Fun despite the tragedy is these
two so rarely appear together whilst frequently Foolishness and
Fun are regular bedfellows in our world if you know what I mean.
We are a bunch of passionate lovers of words but only of good words
though we need to stress. We say this ‘cause we respect one
another and we think times are sick enough without having to stomach
vile ventings and rude rantings from another member of the human
species. So if you have a fetish for foul language, you may want
to stay clear of this group. Otherwise we’re happy to welcome
you to join Wordknights so long as you believe your love of writing
is Godgiven to make a difference for the betterment of mankind.
Yes we believe in God the Creator and we shall not get into debates
about whether He is One or 3-in-1 or is He a Spirit or a Person
- and is He Male or Female? What the heck! Didn’t He say He
Is the Great I AM who knows all our quirks and quests? So, as long
as you have a decent and noble aspiration to write and share our
passion for writing and publishing – and yearn for your words
to get onto a page with someone sensible and intelligent reading
it and another patiently listening to your jottings and the whole
group contributing frank critiques delivered albeit gently –
this then is the big idea of spinning this new network which
will meet monthly as Wordknights on 4th Thursday nights.
